All DHSPD assigned locations will conduct hourly perimeter patrols of their facilities. Perimeter patrols of facilities should be limited to sidewalks connected to the facility concerned. Patrol Officers encountering clients loitering or establishing encampments off shelter property (i.e. across the street) will contact shelter staff to engage the clients with DHSPD present. Officers shall document all patrols, including all observations and notifications, in their memo books.
The following facilities have been identified as requiring in-front of posts to be established during the day and evening hours (0800 x 2300):
1) PATH 2) Charles Gay facilities (Patrol Vehicle) 3) Auburn 4) Franklin 5) Help Women Center
The following facilities have been identified as requiring in-front of posts to be established 24/7:
1) 30th Street Men's Shelter 2) Bedford Atlantic
