SSIS has completed implementation of an upstate system to support on-line requests for client specific Adjudicated Claims history reports. All upstate counties are now using the new process to obtain Claim Detail report histories for Medicaid clients. The new process has eliminated the need to manually prepare these reports from the Adjudicated Claims microfiche, and expanded the claims data set from county specific, to statewide. The initial reports from local districts indicate that the project has accomplished its objectives of generating reports that are more accurate and up-to-date than the manually prepared versions, and also reducing the clerical time and effort required to produce this information. The Department believes that the ease of producing these new reports, coupled with the increased reporting accuracy, may result in additional local recoveries.
