This policy outlines the roles and interactions between DHS facilities, Outreach teams, DHS Office of the Medical Director (OMD), and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) in the event of an individual case or potential outbreak. This policy applies to selected infectious diseases likely to affect persons experiencing homelessness, have a potential for outbreaks, and/or be easily transmissible in congregate settings.
