The purpose is to improve communication of pertinent medical information between the Department of Homeless Services (OHS) and New York City hospital Emergency Departments (EDs) regarding OHS shelter clients sent to EDs to ensure clients receive medical treatment that properly takes into account events and clinical presentations in shelter as well as any relevant history of the presenting problem.
