The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform staff that applicants for Emergency Assistance for Adults (EAA) should not be referred to the Bureau of Eligibility Verification (BEV) for an interview. Staff must ensure that cases are registered in the correct category before making a BEV referral. If the category will change to EAA, do not schedule a BEV appointment.
