The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform Job Center and Non Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff of the closing of the 2011–2012 Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) season.
Regular and emergency HEAP benefit components, as well as HEAP benefit components for heating equipment repair and replacement, will close effective Friday, April 13, 2012.
Applications and requests for applications for regular and emergency HEAP must be accepted through the close of business on April 13, 2012.
Non-repair/replacement energy-related emergencies that occur after the close of the HEAP season on April 13, 2012, should be processed in accordance with procedures for emergency Cash Assistance (CA).
