#11-32-OPE: 2011 Federal Poverty Level Guidelines For EAF And ESNA Categories Of Assistance (EXP-76D)
(Replaces PB #10-40-OPE and PB #09-29-OPE)

The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Job Center staff that the 2011 Federal Poverty Guidelines for Emergency Assistance to Families (EAF) and Emergency Safety Net Assistance (ESNA) Categories of Assistance (EXP-76D) form has been revised to reflect the 2011 Federal Poverty Level Guidelines that go into effect on April 1, 2011 and continue through March 31, 2012. These figures are applied when a request for Emergency Assistance to Families (EAF) or Emergency Safety Net Assistance (ESNA) is made.
In order for the household to be financially eligible for EAF, the household's available income on the date of application must be at or below 200 percent of the current Federal Poverty Level for that household size, and the applicant must be without the resources to meet the emergency need.
