The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform Job Center and Non Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff that the Food Stamp Benefits Household Composition Desk Guide (LDSS-4314) has been revised.
The LDSS-4314 was revised to reflect a change in student eligibility criteria for food stamp (FS) benefits. The change allows students to participate in the FS program if they are employed and paid for an average of at least 20 hours per week or, if self-employed, are working for an average of at least 20 hours per week and receive weekly earnings at least equal to the Federal minimum wage multiplied by 20. The change became effective June 1, 2009.
