We are writing to inform you that commencing June 29, 1992, the Department's Office Automation System (OAS) will have the capability to provide authorized OAS users with direct electronic access to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles drivers license, registration and vehicle identification inquiry system. This new OAS capability presents counties, that are connected to the OAS, with the opportunity to significantly expedite the client clearance process and realize associated cost savings.
