On October 19, 1992, the Department issued Local Commissioners Memorandum 92 LCM-159 inviting districts to request grants for projects to enhance eligibility determination activities associated with maximization of federal Medicare reimbursement for persons requiring nursing home and home health care, and planning and development activities related to the promotion of more efficient and effective means of delivering home care services. The deadline for submitting proposals contained in the LCM was November 15, 1992.
Due to unforeseen delays in distributing the LCM, the deadline for submitting project proposals has been extended to January 4, 1993.
