On August 11, 1993, the Department conducted a satellite teleconference on the Group Recertification process, linking about 450 staff in ten locations. The program represented a collaborative effort involving several offices within the Department of Social Services and two local districts. Our preliminary evaluation indicates that the conference was very well received and provided a cost efficient means for reaching large numbers of staff quickly.
