The Department has selected a contractor for the new Automated Finger Imaging System (AFIS) and has prepared a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to allow local districts to participate in the new system. In order to begin implementing early in 1995, local districts will have to choose before December 23, 1994 whether they wish to participate in the AFIS contract.
