As you are aware, Governor Pataki recently announced the administration's Social Services Regulatory Reform agenda which is intended to provide administrative flexibility and remove unnecessary mandates. As implementation of these regulatory reforms take place, we will also be reviewing various Department requirements placed on local districts which are not mandated by statute or regulation. Our intent is to further reduce the administrative burden on local districts and remove unnecessary reporting requirements.
