Recently, a video and an accompanying booklet entitled "Police and Protective Services for Adults: A Partnership", were sent to the staff development coordinators in the 58 local social services departments and the 650 police agencies in New York State. These materials were developed by the New York State Department of Social Services and the Division of Criminal Justice Services with an Advisory Committee consisting of representatives from police agencies and local social services districts across the state.
