Chapter 58 of the Laws of 2005 increased Medicaid recipient co-payments as follows:
Effective August 1, 2005, recipient co-payments for brand-name prescription drugs are increased from $2.00 to $3.00.
Effective August 1, 2005, co-payments for generic prescription drugs are increased from $0.50 to $1.00.
The annual co-payment maximum has been increased from $100 to $200 per recipient per year. This change to the annual maximum takes effect immediately.
The co-pay year begins on April 1 each year and ends on March 31 of the following year.
