05-OCFS-ADM-01: Administration of Medication by Legally-Exempt Child Care Providers: Revised Health and Safety Requirements for Legally-Exempt Family, In-Home and Group Child Care
The purpose of this Administrative Directive (ADM) is to inform social services districts of changes in child care policy due to the proposed administration of medication regulations that will become effective on January 31, 2005. Changes to the regulations were made based on Chapter 253 of the Laws of 2003 as amended by Chapter 20 of the Laws of 2004. In collaboration with several of the local districts, the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) developed a method and tools to incorporate the new regulations into the process for enrolling legally-exempt child care providers.
