The purpose of this release is to notify local social services districts of
the passage of Chapter 233 of the Laws of 1990 which makes permanent the statutory provisions allowing the Department of Labor to grant extended UIB benefits to a claimant attending a training course or program approved by the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL).
