92 INF-44: 1992 State Laws Affecting Foster Care, Adoption and
Preventive Services

I. Purpose
The purpose of this Informational Letter is to inform you of bills
passed in the 1992 legislative session related to foster care, adoption,
and preventive services which have been signed into law by Governor
Mario Cuomo. Effective dates are listed, along with a summary of the
provisions of each Chapter Law. The Department will follow up with
regulatory amendments or administrative directives as necessary for
implementation of these provisions.
