I. PURPOSE
This directive advises social services districts of an amendment to
Department Regulation 352.7(b). This amendment permits a social
services district to authorize replacement of heating equipment,
cooking stoves, and refrigerators used by persons in need of public
assistance (PA) in their homes when replacement is less expensive
than essential repairs.
