I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Administrative Directive is to provide
instructions concerning the treatment of the Personal Needs
Allowance (PNA) by both the social services district and the
nursing facility in one source. This directive also summarizes
requirements and responsibilities concerning treatment of PNA funds
on deposit with a nursing facility upon the discharge, transfer, or
death of a Medical Assistance (MA) recipient who is an in-patient
in a nursing facility.
