The purpose of this GIS message is to provide revised desk guides based on GIS message 04 MA/002 ”Clarification of Nonimmigrant Visa Status” issued on 2/10/04. The attached desk guides “Documentation Guide Immigrant Eligibility for Health Care Coverage in New York State” and “Key to I-766, I-688B, Employment Authorization Documents (EADs)” reflect PRUCOL status for those nonimmigrants who are holders of special nonimmigrant visas coded K, V, S, T and/or U for the purposes of determining Medicaid/FHPlus/CHPlus eligibility.
