03-OCFS-INF-10 This release replaces 03-OCFS-INF-08, which is being rescinded at the request of the Tribes and reissued with updated Tribal contact information. The purpose of this release is to provide social services districts and voluntary agencies with the names and contact information for the Tribal designees to whom notice of the placement needs of a Native American child, including notification of pending court proceedings and the right to intervene in a court proceeding involving an Indian child, must be given, consistent with Federal law and to advise social services districts and voluntary agencies of what information must be included in the contents of such notification. Timely notification must be given prior to any involuntary proceeding.
