03 OMM/ADM-7: Spousal Impoverishment Allowance Increases for 2002 and 2003

I. PURPOSE
This Administrative Directive (OMM/ADM) advises social services districts of the January 1, 2002 and January 1, 2003 increases in the following amounts:
1. the maximum protected resource allowance for a community spouse;
2. the community spouse's minimum monthly maintenance needs allowance; and
3. the family member allowance.
These amounts are used in determining the Medicaid eligibility of an institutionalized spouse.
