The purpose of this Office of Health Insurance Programs Administrative Directive (OHIP/ADM) is to advise local departments of social services (LDSS) of changes to the implementation of Section 113 of the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), which requires applications for the federal Low Income Subsidy program to be nsidered an application for the Medicare Savings Program (MSP).
