07-OCFS-LCM-12: Preventive Services: Performance- or Outcome-Based Provisions

The purpose of this Local Commissioners Memorandum is to advise local social services districts (districts) on the implementation of a new requirement for preventive services enacted as part of the 2007-2008 state budget. Preventive services provided pursuant to section 409-a of the Social Services Law, whether purchased or provided directly by the district, must include performance- or outcome-based provisions beginning January 1, 2008, and thereafter.
