GIS 01 TA/DC032: Safety Net Assistance Application For Able-bodied Family Assistance Recipients at the State Sixty-Month Time Limit

GIS 01 TA/DC032 Explains that 18 NYCRR is being revised to require all able bodied adults that become ineligible for Family Assistance or Safety Net Assistance-Federally Participating because of the state 60 month time limit to file an application for Safety Net Assistance if they want to continue to receive public assistance benefits. This GIS instructs local districts to begin conducting application interviews for cases that will reach the 60 month limit. Districts are told to begin with the cases of individuals in housholds that are in sanctioned status because of a household member's non compliance with employment or IV-D requirements.
