GIS 01 MA/002: Expiration of Fiscal Assessment Reminder

GIS 01 MA/002 The Department advised districts on July 2, 1999, that the Social Services Law (SSL) provisions related to fiscal assessments expired on July 1, 1999. This includes SSL section 367-j “Home health services management and fiscal assessment”, SSL section 367-k “Personal care services management and fiscal assessment” and SSL section 367-l “Private duty nursing management and fiscal assessment.”
This again reminds districts that these fiscal assessment statutes have expired and to advise you that they have NOT been re-enacted. Therefore, the GIS states, districts MUST NOT apply 367 – j, 367- k, or 367 – l, when initially authorizing or reauthorizing personal care services, home health services or private duty nursing services.
