The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Job Center and Non Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, that was signed into law on February 17, 2009, raised the Thrifty Food Plan (TFP) Food Stamp (FS) benefit amounts and the minimum monthly benefi amount for one- and two-person households effective April 1, 2009. The maximum FS benefit amounts were increased by 13.6% and the minimum monthly benefit for one- and two-person households were increased from $14 to $16.
