#06-81-ELI: October 2005 Change In Child Care Market Rates
(This Policy Bulletin Replaces PB #05-135-ELI) This policy bulletin is being revised to: • Advise of changes made to the Maximum Child Care Rates form (W-667F): “Weekly Rates” is now “Weekly Full-Time Care Rates”; “Weekly Part-Day Rates” is now “Weekly Part-Time Care Rates”; The form has been streamlined to make it more readable. It is now divided into three sections: “Weekly Full-Time Care Rates,” “Weekly Part-Time Care Rates” and “Special Needs”; All references to “Daily Full-Day Rates” have been removed; The Legally-Exempt Family Child Care and Legally-Exempt In-Home Child Care box has been removed. Information for these rates is now listed as “Informal Provider”; The definition of weekly part-day rates has been changed from “between 15 and 29 hours per week” to “fewer than 30 hrs/week and less than 6 hrs/day”; The “Notes” section at the bottom of the form has been removed; The regulated care weekly rate for preschool children in registered group family day care has been changed from $145 to $150; and • Clarify when providers can be reimbursed up to the special needs market rates.
