(This Policy Directive Replaces PD #08-13-ELI)
This policy directive has been revised to inform staff of the following: • The Kelley Blue Book monthly pricing guide has changed the terminology to describe the value category used by the Family Independence Administration (FIA) to determine the value of an automobile. The terminology has been changed from “trade-in” value to “good condition” value. • The applicant/participant must be advised of their right to prove that their vehicle is actually worth less than the estimated value provided by the Kelley Blue Book. Such proof, if provided, must be accepted in lieu of the Kelley Blue Book estimate. • Attachment A has been removed because the lump-sum information is now contained in the What you Should Know About your Rights and Responsibilities (LDSS-4148A) state booklet.
