The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Job Center and Non Cash Assistance (NCA) Food Stamps (FS) Center staff of the free Summer Meals program administered by the New York City Department of Education.
From June 27, 2008, through August 29, 2008, Summer Meals will provide breakfasts and lunches at no charge to all children age 18 and under, at more than 600 public schools, pools, parks and other sites in each of the five boroughs. Breakfast will be served from 8:00AM to 9:15 AM, and lunch from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM.
