This policy bulletin is to inform Non-Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff that the latest version of the Food Stamp Paperless Office System (FS POS) is scheduled to migrate to production on March 24, 2008. Descriptions of the FS POS release changes can be found in FS POS Release Notes Version 2.1a (Attachment A) and FS POS Release Notes Version 2.1a Appendices A through C (Attachments B-D).
The bulletin includes instructions on the Working Family Food Stamp Initiative (WFFSI) -- and includes instructions on how to conduct interviews over the telephone. The directive explains that while:
"The instructions on the screening of the NCA FS applicant during the FS application intake interview to determine if the household qualifies for the Working Family Food Stamp Initiative (WFFSI) apply to all Centers, " the instructions on phone interviews as well as all other WFFSI-related information in these release notes apply only to those NCA FS Centers that have been trained and are currently participating in this initiative."
