(This Policy Directive Replaces PD #01-33 and PB #06-89-ELI)
This PD describes all of the requirements for eligibility and processing Expedited Food Stamps. It includes the requirement that all FS applications must be screened on the day the application is filed to determine if the household qualifies for Expedited Food Stamp (EFS) service. It also specifies that these rules for Expedited Food Stamps also apply to the applications of households whose FS case was closed for failure to recertify and re-apply after their certification period expired. The PD includes attachments: 1) "Expedited Food Stamp Service and Application Timelines Desk Aid" 2) "TA/FS Documentation /Verification Desk Aid" [LDSS 3666] and 3) "Food Stamp Expedited Processing Summary Sheet" [LDSS 3938].
