The instructions in this policy directive are for staff at the Job Centers, WeCARE Hub Centers and the Special Needs Region, and informational for all other staff. As a condition of eligibility for Public Assistance (PA), the resources of applicants/participants must be explored, verified and evaluated to determine their immediate and/or potential availability to remove or reduce the need for PA. Such resources include employability, and therefore applicants/participants who claim they are unable to work due to a mental or physical impairment must comply with HRA’s efforts to verify their claim.
