Every year, recipients of Social Security Disability (SSD) survivor’s benefits and Social Security Income (SSI) receive a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) which is based on the annual change in the Federal Consumer Price Index (CPI) (see Attachment A). This increase must be budgeted accordingly, for Public Assistance (PA) and Food Stamp (FS) participants.
