CD #24-06:Reminder Regarding Paroled Cuban and Haitian Applicants with Employment Authorization (July 8, 2024)
This Center Director (CD) Memorandum is being issued to remind Benefits Access Center (BAC), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Center, and HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) Center staff that Cuban and Haitian applicants with the I-766 Employment Authorization Card coded C11 are parolees and therefore eligible for federal benefits including SNAP. An Office of Refugee and Immigrant Affairs (ORIA) clearance is needed for Cuban and Haitian entrants (parolee status or otherwise).
