The purpose of this policy bulletin is to announce a pilot program in seven Job Centers for participants who claim to be needed at home to care for a disabled school age child. Effective April 25, 2006, participants who claim to be needed at home will undergo an additional assessment to determine whether or not they are exempt from work requirements.
COMMENTS: I don't get it. It announces a pilot program which requires a call-in for assessment for those who "claim" to be needed at home due to a disabled school-age child. "Needed at Home Liaisons" will do the assessments - but the bulletin seems to only give three outcomes: assignment to WEP [assignment to "Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island"?], referral to the Training Assessment Group or referral to WeCARE. Does this mean no work activity exemption for these folks?
