#22-08-ELI: Cash Assistance (CA) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefits for Haitian Entrants and Haitians Granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Job Center,
HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) Center, and Non-Cash Assistance Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) center staff of Cash Assistance (CA) and SNAP benefits available to Haitian Entrants and Haitians granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

On May 22, 2021, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a new Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Haitian nationals residing in the United States as of May 21, 2021. The registration period for this extension of the TPS designation runs from August 3, 2021 through February 3, 2023. Those who have been/are granted TPS are eligible for Safety Net Assistance (SNA). Haitian entrants continue to be eligible for Cash Assistance CA and SNAP.
