The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Center staff and staff designated to assist the SNAP Program, that the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (USDA-FNS) has adjusted the interview requirements for SNAP in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the declaration of a State disaster emergency (Executive Order 202, March 7, 2020). This policy bulletin is informational for all other staff.
The USDA-FNS has approved a waiver of certain SNAP interview requirements in order to meet the needs of individuals and families who are applying for or receiving benefits and or assistance through CA or SNAP.
