The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform Non Cash Assistance Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (NCA SNAP) Center staff of the changes in the New York State Nutrition Improvement Project (NYSNIP) standardized benefit levels and in the shelter cost threshold to be considered high shelter. These changes are due to the annual Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cost of living adjustment (COLA) and are effective January 1, 2019.
