The purpose of this policy bulletin is to remind Job Center staff that a Cash Assistance (CA) applicant/participant who owns his/her home is entitled to apply for or request a grant to pay back property taxes, mortgage arrears, or reverse mortgage related arrears. This includes applications for one-shot deals. These requests fall under the umbrella category of shelter arrears.
