The purpose of this policy bulletin is to provide Job Center and Non Cash Assistance (NCA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) staff information and instructions on processing requests for changes in a transgender individual’s gender designation in the Welfare Management System (WMS). This policy bulletin will also provide information on Restriction/Exception (R/E) codes in eMedNY for transgender health services covered by Medicaid (MA) and instructions for completing requests to have these codes added/modified in eMedNY.
