This policy bulletin has been revised to inform staff that effective July 1, 2016, New York State is expanding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) categorical eligibility by raising the total gross income threshold (including earned and unearned income) from 130% of the federal poverty level (FPL) to 150% of the FPL for households with budgeted earned income.
The new 150% gross income threshold for SNAP categorical eligibility for households with earned income does not apply to the following SNAP households . . .
