The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform Training Assessment Group (TAG) staff of a new process to allow students who are attending certain educational programs to self-report their attendance, when their educational program declines to do so. The self-attested hours will be verified by a TAG Attendance Supervisor, who will communicate with the participant by phone, enabling the student to advance their education while also meeting their Cash Assistance (CA) work requirements.
This policy bulletin also serves to inform TAG staff that the Understanding What Will Take Place At My TAG Appointment (FIA-1064) informational and the Notice of Approval of Request for Educational/Training Program (W-116J) have been revised to reflect the updates in HRA’s policies regarding participation at approved educational/training programs.
