(This Policy Directive Replaces PD #13-21-ELI and PB #13-89-ELI)
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) have released their cost-of-living adjustments for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which will become effective October 1, 2014. The adjustments will affect the following items: - Standard deductions; - Maximum excess shelter deduction; - Income limits for the 130% Gross Income Test, 165% Gross Income Test, 200% Gross Income Test, and the 100% Net Income Test; - Standard Utility Allowance (SUA) amounts; and - Thrifty Food Plan (TFP) SNAP benefit amounts
