Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits are adjusted to reflect the increase, if any, in the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), as measured by the federal Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W).
