The purpose of this policy bulletin is to inform all Non-Cash Assistance Food Stamp (NCA FS) Center staff and Job Center staff that the New York State Legislature and the New York State Governor’s Office have changed the name of the Food Stamp Program to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Therefore, any reference to Food Stamps shall mean SNAP benefits, and any reference to NCA FS Centers shall mean NCA SNAP Centers.
