(This Policy Directive Replaces PD #05-34-ELI, PB #05-123-OPE and PB #06-100-OPE) The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released its cost of living adjustments for the Food Stamp Program, effective October 1, 2006. These adjustments will affect the following standards:
• Food Stamp standard deduction
• Excess shelter maximum and standard deduction amounts
• FS table amounts for the 130% Gross Income Test and 165% Gross Income Test
• Net income eligibility levels
• Thrifty Food Plan FS benefit amounts
