The Federal government, New York State (NYS), and New York City (NYC) provide various tax credits that aid families and individuals with low to moderate income by reducing their tax liability. Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) refunds must be excluded as income and resources for Cash Assistance (CA) and Food Stamp (FS) purposes.
