(This Policy Directive Replaces PB #08-27-OPE, PD #10-12-OPE and CD #11-38)
This policy directive has been revised to:
• Inform staff that the agency now uses the term Limited English
Proficient (LEP) in place of Limited English-Speaking Ability
(LESA). LEP is the term used in federal, state and city executive
orders, as well as local law 73.
• Provide additional instructions for providing on-site interpretation
services to homebound persons.
• Indicate that the Language Access Information Card has been
designated HRA-103(E)
